See boys & girls by class, and the rest of your student profile

Need to know how many boys and how many girls are in a class? Open Reports & Analytics → Students → Student demographics & insights. The gender table is the first thing on the page, and everything else on it answers a question that usually follows.

Choosing what you're looking at

Three filters sit at the top:

• Class — one class, or all of them.
• Batch — one batch. Picking a batch overrides the class.
• Students — On the roll (active) by default, or All, including former students if you're looking at history.

Boys & girls by class and batch

The main table lists every batch with its Boys, Girls, Other and Total counts, a class total row after each class, and a school total at the bottom. The bar in the last column is the girls' share of that row, so a lopsided batch is visible without reading the numbers.

This is the sheet to send when a board, a department or a parent body asks for the gender count.

Age

Two cards sit side by side:

• Age distribution — how old your students are today, in one-year bands, with everyone 18 and over grouped into a single band.
• Age against class — the youngest, median and oldest age in each class, and how many students sit more than two years away from their class median. Expand a class to see exactly who they are; each name links to the student's profile. In practice most of these turn out to be a mistyped date of birth, and correcting it fixes their certificates and board forms too.

Strength against capacity

Every batch against the seats it is set up for, with seats left and a fill bar. Amber means the batch is nearly full, red means admissions have already gone past its capacity — raise the capacity on Classes & Batches, or open another batch.

Where students come from

Top-ten cities and localities. The locality comes from the geocoded home address, so it is the best guide you have to a new transport stop, a banner site or a door-to-door drive.

Religion, category, nationality and mother tongue

Four small cards, each showing the top values, their share, and how many students have nothing recorded for that field.

Admissions by year, and guardian occupations

Admissions by year shows each year's intake, how many of those students are still with you, and the girls' share of that intake — so a shift in who is applying shows up early. It goes by the admission date on each student's record. If your students were migrated from a previous system without an admission date, that field holds the day they were imported, so older years look thin and the import year looks fat — correct the date on the student's profile (or re-import with an admission date column) and the chart follows. Guardian occupations shows what the primary guardians do, which is the household picture behind your fee policy and your concessions.

Families, transport and concessions

Three counts: families with more than one child enrolled (matched on the guardian's CNIC first, phone number second), students riding a school route, and students holding at least one fee concession. Counts only — no amounts appear anywhere on this report.

Record quality

The last card counts the blanks that quietly distort everything above: no city, no guardian CNIC, no guardian at all, and dates of birth that produce an impossible age. Filling those in improves every report, not just this one.

What this says

Above the tables, CloudSchool reads the numbers back to you as plain findings — a batch that is heavily one-sided by gender, a batch already over capacity, a class with several age outliers, your largest catchment, your sibling share. Red means act on it, green is good news, amber is worth knowing. Clicking a finding jumps to the table it came from.

Downloading it

Buttons sit above the report:

• Print sheet — opens a printable A4 page with your school's logo, name and address at the top; use your browser's Print / Save PDF.
• PDF — the same report as a ready-made PDF file, school header on every page.
• Excel (all tables) — one workbook with a tab per table, including the full student list.
• CSV — gender / age / origin / student list — a single table each, ready to open in Excel.

The downloads always match what is on screen, filters included — so if you have picked a batch, that is what the file contains.
